Selection Process

Step 1: Application Screening	Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria. Only registered ex-servicemen in the District Soldiers Welfare Office are eligible.
Step 2: Preliminary Examination	Conducted only if the number of applications exceeds 40,000. Objective-type exam with 50 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer awards 4 marks, no negative marking. Exam duration: 1 hour. Subjects include General Knowledge, Science, Mathematics, Computer, and English. Language of the exam: Hindi / English (English preferred in case of discrepancies). Top 5 times the number of vacancies move to the next stage.
Step 3: Main Examination	A separate notification will be issued for the main exam, which will be held after shortlisting candidates from the preliminary test.
Step 4: Typing Test (For LDC Post)	Applies only to Lower Division Clerk (LDC) candidates. Typing speed requirement: 25 words per minute in Hindi and English. Must type 250 words in 10 minutes. Allowable error rate: Maximum 1.5% mistakes, beyond which candidates will be disqualified.
Step 5: Document Verification	Selected candidates must provide original documents for verification, including educational qualifications, discharge book, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant records.
Step 6: Final Selection	Final selection will be based on performance in the exams and verification stage. Candidates meeting all requirements will be appointed.
