  • Reserved Categories (SC/SC(A)/ST/MBC&DC/BC/BCM): 18 to 37 years (Born between 02.07.1988 and 01.07.2007).
  • Unreserved Categories (UR): 18 to 32 years (Born between 02.07.1993 and 01.07.2007).
  • In-Service Candidates: 18 to 47 years (Born between 02.07.1978 and 01.07.2007).
  • Differently Abled Persons: Eligible for 10 years age relaxation over the specified upper age limit with at least 40% disability.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age of 50 years for unreserved and 55 years for reserved categories.
Educational Qualification
  • Minimum: Pass in 8th Standard or its equivalent.
  • Maximum: 12th Standard (Higher Secondary) or its equivalent.
  • Candidates must give an undertaking that they do not possess/pursue higher qualifications than the specified maximum.
Post-Specific Preferences
  • Office Assistant:
    • Preference given to candidates with a valid LMV Driving License.
    • Experience in cooking and housekeeping preferred.
  • Residential Assistant:
    • One-year Craft Course in Housekeeping/Food & Beverage/Cooking/Bakery with two years of experience in the respective field.
    • Must converse fluently in Tamil and English.
    • Preference given to candidates with a valid LMV Driving License.
Other Requirements
  • Applicants from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry only are eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption under reserved categories.
  • Candidates must submit a "No Objection Certificate" if currently employed in Government or Judicial services.
  • Scribe assistance available for eligible differently abled candidates as per guidelines.

Selection Process

Common Written Examination
  • Total Marks: 65
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Two Parts:
    • Part-A: Tamil Eligibility Test (25 marks, Minimum Qualifying Marks: 10)
    • Part-B: Basic Knowledge Test (40 marks, Minimum Qualifying Marks: 10)
  • No negative marking
  • Marks obtained in Part-A are qualifying and not counted for selection.
  • Only Part-B marks are considered for shortlisting candidates for the next stage.
Skill Test
  • Maximum Marks: 40
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 10
  • Post-specific tasks:
    • Chobdar and Room Boy: Tasks include office maintenance, hygiene, housekeeping, equipment maintenance, etc.
    • Office Assistant: Tasks include cooking (20 marks) and housekeeping (20 marks).
    • Residential Assistant: Tasks include cooking (20 marks), sweeping and sanitation (10 marks), and gardening (10 marks).
  • Additional marks for certifications and experience:
    • Valid LMV license: +3 marks
    • Cooking experience: +1 mark
    • Housekeeping experience: +1 mark
Certificate Verification
  • Shortlisted candidates from Skill Test are invited for verification.
  • Verification based on merit and reservation guidelines.
  • Marks for weightage:
    • 2 marks per year for work experience, up to a maximum of 20 marks.
    • Marks for preference criteria and weightage combined will not exceed 20 marks.
