Post Description Application Fee Details for SC/ST Candidates Details for PwBD Candidates
Inspector of Legal Metrology & Junior Engineer Grade-I (Civil) ₹350 SC/ST candidates who are permanent residents of Meghalaya will pay ₹175, which is half of the prescribed fee. PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee entirely. They must furnish a valid Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority.
Draughtsman Grade-II/Surveyor Grade-II & Accounts Assistant ₹320 SC/ST candidates who are permanent residents of Meghalaya will pay ₹160, which is half of the prescribed fee. PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee entirely. They must furnish a valid Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) Exempted Not applicable. Application fee exemption is applicable for all posts. PwBD candidates must ensure they submit the required Disability Certificate.

Eligiblity Criteria

Educational Qualification
  • Inspector of Legal Metrology: B.Sc with Physics as one subject OR B.E./B.Tech in any discipline. Must speak one of the state languages and be physically/mentally fit.
  • Junior Engineer Grade-I (Civil): Minimum 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Government-recognized Institution.
  • Draughtsman Grade-II/Surveyor Grade-II: Diploma in Civil Engineering/Draughtsman/Surveyor from a recognized institution. Must undergo prescribed physical and medical tests.
  • Accounts Assistant: H.S.S.L.C (Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
Age Limit
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 32 years
  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates
  • No age bar for regular Government employees who entered service within the prescribed age limit
  • Additional relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years (15 years for SC/ST)
Nationality Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Meghalaya.
Other Criteria
  • Applicants must ensure their eligibility as per the prescribed qualifications and age criteria.
  • Degrees/certificates obtained from certain institutions post-31.05.2013 may not be admissible.

All Posts Personal Interview: Candidates who pass the Screening Test/Main Written Examination will be eligible for the Personal Interview. The ratio of candidates called for the interview will be decided by the Commission.

Faq's

The age limit for posts is 18 to 32 years as of January 1, 2025. Upper age relaxation of 5 years is available for SC/ST candidates. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for additional relaxation of up to 10 years (15 years for SC/ST).
