Educational Qualification	Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
Age Limit (As on 30.04.2025)	21 to 30 years (Born between 01.05.1995 and 30.04.2004, both inclusive).
Age Relaxation	SC/ST: 5 years OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years PwBD (OBC): 13 years PwBD (Gen/EWS): 10 years Ex-Servicemen & Officers with 5 years of service: 5 years
Experience (As on 30.04.2025)	Minimum 2 years of experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI.
Local Language Proficiency	Must be proficient in reading, writing, and understanding the local language of the applied Circle.

Selection Process

SBI Circle Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment 2025 - Selection Process

Stage	Description
Online Examination	An objective test (120 marks) and descriptive test (50 marks) assessing English Language, Banking Knowledge, General Awareness, Economy, and Computer Aptitude.
Screening	Evaluation by a Screening Committee to verify experience and match job profile with SBI's Scale-I Generalist Officer role.
Interview	A 50-mark interview where candidates must meet minimum qualifying marks set by the bank.
Final Selection	Marks from Online Test (converted to 75) and Interview (converted to 25) are combined (total 100) to prepare a final merit list based on Circle-wise and Category-wise ranking.
Local Language Proficiency Test	A test for proficiency in the local language of the applied Circle. Candidates who fail this test will not be offered an appointment.
