Selection Process

Stage Details Important Points
Stage 1: Written Examination Candidates must appear for an **Objective Type Written Examination** as the first stage of selection.
  • Exam Date: 12th July 2025 (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
  • Subjects Covered: General Studies, Aptitude & Mental Ability, Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 90 marks (All Communities)
Stage 2: Ranking & Merit List Merit list prepared based on **total marks secured** in the written exam.
  • In case of tie, **higher qualification & seniority in age** will be considered.
  • For technical posts (Typist/Steno-Typist), **higher technical qualification** will be prioritized.
Stage 3: Onscreen Certificate Verification Candidates shortlisted based on merit will undergo **onscreen certificate verification**.
  • Documents to be uploaded via **TNPSC portal**.
  • Failure to upload required certificates leads to **rejection of candidature**.
  • Expert panel verifies special category documents (Sports, Ex-Servicemen, etc.).
Stage 4: Physical Standards & Endurance Test Applicable only for **Forest Guard, Forest Watcher & related posts**.
  • Physical Standards Test: Minimum height & chest measurements required.
  • Endurance Test: Male - 25 km walk in 4 hours, Female - 16 km walk in 4 hours.
